Dutch Cranes Collapse, 20 Injured

Around 20 people were reported injured when two cranes collapsed onto shops and housing in a western Dutch town on Monday. 

The accident occurred in Alphen aan den Rijn during renovations to the Queen Juliana Bridge. The cranes, mounted on a barge, were attempting to hoist a large section of bridge into place. The cranes teetering and then collapsed onto five buildings barely half their height.

A search and rescue team has been deployed to look for people amongst the debris.
