Kockumation Group Acquires Marine Alignment

Kockumation Group AB has acquired 100% of the shares in Marine Alignment A/S. The acquisition will create the most experienced loading computer manufacturer in the world and secure the best service level for all present and new customers.

Marine Alignment will, by joining Kockumation Group, become part of a very strong and competent organization within the field of loading computer systems - as well as other systems for ships. Many synergies will be provided by joining forces.

Together the two companies can offer a wider range of products and together we can develop the next generation of on-board loading computers that will be used around the globe.

Kockum Sonics is very happy to welcome Marine Alignment to the Kockumation Group.Together we will offer an even better service to all our present and new customers. All software products will of course continue to be fully supported. From today the support comes from one of the largest loading computer departments in the world.

Marine Alignment a/s was formed in 1976. In 1985 Marine Alignment a/s got the opportunity to re-write an office based loading program to be used on an IBM compatible PC. This was the start of a new business area, which today is the core business of Marine Alignment a/s.

Although the product name EASEACON originates from the phrase “EASe at SEA for CONtainer vessels”, they have today made loading software for all kind of vessels and offshore production units. The product range comprises both ship specific versions for on-board and/or office planning, versions capable of bay planning several ships. Often owners choose to have extensive on-line communication features.

Apart from the basic loading computer software Marine Alignment has developed dedicated softwares for fuel saving, break bulk lashing and lashing calculators with approved Route Specific Container Stowage.
