On March 5, the cruise ship Regal Princess rescued two survivors from an aircraft crash.

While the Princess was under way for St. Thomas in the U.S. Virgin Islands, she received a notification from the U.S. Coast Guard about a small aircraft crash nearby. The Coast Guard requested her assistance, and she diverted to the scene and launched her rescue boat. Her crew brought aboard two survivors from a small raft. A U.S. Coast Guard aircraft provided aerial surveillance throughout the operation.

Plane crash rescue at sea. They were saved! Good job to the #uscoastguard and the #regalprincess crew! #cascadetravel #beckworthhvac
