[Watch] Norwegian Escape Float Out

On August 15 the cruise ship Norwegian Escape, was floated out of Meyer Werft’s covered dock II. The construction of the vessel for Norwegian Cruise Line has taken 18 months.

Final testing will be completed while the ship being is berthed at the yard's pier, then in a few days’ time, the first crew members will move into their cabins on board, and familiarize themselves with the ship. 

The Norwegian Escape’s passage down the river Ems, towards the North Sea for sea trials, is scheduled for mid-September 2015.

The 164,600gt cruise ship has a length overall of 325.9m and is 41.40m wide. It has a passenger capacity for 4,248 passengers and 1,651 crew members.
