FLIR Systems, Inc. (NASDAQ: FLIR) announced the launch of six FLIR Large Format Infrared Inspection Windows designed for wider viewing angles in challenging industrial settings. With the addition of the larger infrared (IR) windows series, FLIR now offers one of the largest, most-comprehensive lines of IR windows available to electrical contractors, facility/equipment managers, and predictive maintenance leads at large industrial sites with solutions for every application.

By expanding its product line with larger rectangular windows, FLIR provides thermographers and inspection professionals a larger viewing area with an unparalleled field of view compared to traditional round IR windows—up to six times that of previous windows. Advanced, impact-resistant polymer optics ensure long-term, stable installations in challenging industrial settings, even with exposure to pollutants, vibration, high-frequency noise and humidity.

The new FLIR large format IR windows are available in six, 12, and 24-inch widths and can be used with both visual and infrared cameras (visual, ultraviolet and shortwave, midwave and longwave IR spectrums) to perform inspections of enclosed electrical equipment without any disruption.

All three sizes are available in models for indoor installations with aluminum grilles (model: IRW-xPC) and for outdoor and marine applications with stainless-steel grilles and weatherized enclosures (model: IRW-xPS). To protect the windows, especially in high-traffic areas, locking covers secure the viewing panes from any impacts, debris, dust, and airborne environmental pollutants.

Organizations requiring the installation of IR windows throughout a facility will find large format windows to be a cost-effective solution for site-wide implementation. Plus, FLIR offers site managers added peace of mind with a limited lifetime warranty on the new large format IR windows.
