In honor of American Heart Month in February, Maritime Professional Training (MPT) invites fellow members of the marine industry in South Florida to join the private maritime training school as it hosts the inaugural “I Heart MPT Red Passion Fundraiser” benefiting the American Heart Association South Florida Chapter. The first annual fundraising event will take place on Tuesday, February 3, 2014 from 6pm to 8pm at Fort Lauderdale’s premier waterfront restaurant, Bimini Boatyard Bar & Grill, and is being hosted by MPT in an effort to raise much needed funds and awareness for heart disease—the number one cause of death for both men and women in the United States, claiming approximately one million lives annually.

MPT encourages the local South Florida marine industry to join MPT students, staff and faculty members, and to come dressed in their very red best for to enjoy an evening filled with food, fun and friends for a much deserving cause, as guests mix and mingle over drinks and light bites on Bimini’s Waterfront Palm Bar on the Patio overlooking the beautiful Intracoastal waterway, where great marina views abound. Complimentary light bites will be served and attendees will be treated to a complimentary signature Red Passion cocktail and drink specials throughout the evening, courtesy of Bimini Boatyard. MPT will donate $10 for each student, faculty and staff member, friend and supporter who comes dressed in red, with all proceeds for the evening benefiting the American Heart Association South Florida Chapter.

The inaugural “I Heart MPT Red Passion Fundraiser” will take place on Tuesday, February 3, 2014 from 6pm to 8pm at Bimini Boatyard Bar & Grill, located at 1555 Southeast 17th Street in Fort Lauderdale. Complimentary onsite self-parking or valet is available for a nominal fee. For more information or to RSVP to attend, email [email protected].
