IMPA Act Joins Human Rights at Sea

Human Rights at Sea is delighted to welcome IMPA ACT as a supporting entity to the charity’s work, notably for the development of maritime CSR, business and human rights and supply chain management. The new partnership will allow a joint approach that works in harmony with one another’s objectives from both a commercial and charitable perspective.

IMPA ACT is an independent initiative of the International Marine Purchasing Association (IMPA) that seeks to improve the economic, social and environmental compliance of its ship purchaser and supplier members. IMPA ACT does this through advocacy in raising the awareness of sustainability and responsible supply chain management within the industry, as well providing step-by-step guidance and support for ship owners, manager and suppliers who have committed to become an IMPA ACT member and move towards alignment with the U.N. Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights.
