A catamaran carrying 213 passengers from the Turkish resort of Didim to the Greek island of Kos crashed into a dock, Wednesday, injuring 25.

Most of the injured were British tourist. Five sustained serious injuries but Greek Authorities report that none of the injuries are life threatening and the most serious are broken bones. The injured were taken to a nearby hospital and the rest of the passengers were disembarked from the catamaran.

The Merchant Marine Ministry reported that the ship might have had a mechanical failure causing it to crash into the dock twice. Passengers onboard reported to Sky News that everyone fell to the floor when the first crash happened and that paintings fell from the walls.

After the second crash passengers stood to see what had happened and the catamaran, making a second attempt to dock, rammed the dock for a second time, causing most of the injuries. Some passengers were cut by glass from windows that shattered during the collisions.

The Catamaran known as the AEGEAN CAT is run by ferry company Marmaris Cruise and regularly runs trips from Didim to Kos.

The port authorities in Kos are investigating the incident.
