Fariello Gets New Post at Wärtsilä

Brian Fariello has been appointed Sales Support Area Manager for the Americas at Wärtsilä Services, effective immediately. In his new position, Fariello will work closely with Wärtsilä’s network of sales offices to grow the seals, bearings and stern tube assembly businesses, including both new construction and retrofits, with a particular focus on environmentally friendly technologies. He will be based in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
“Brian has exceptional knowledge of the portfolio products and will be providing seals and bearings sales support to enable growth throughout the Americas,” stated Lee Martindale, General Manager, Sales Support & Product Management, Seals & Bearings, for Wärtsilä.

Fariello was previously Ship Power Account Manager where he was part of the team that led the rollout of LNG dual-fuel engines in North America. As Business Sales Manager for the Americas he was a central figure in the provision of steerable ice-class thrusters for the University of Alaska’s Arctic Region Research Vessel. He has also served as Territory Manager for seals and bearings and continues to work with the Canadian government to rebuild its Coast Guard and Navy fleets.
Fariello holds a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Purdue University and a Project Management Certificate from George Washington University. He is Six Sigma-certified by Motorola University and serves on the Board of Directors of the SE USA Section of the Society of Naval Architects & Marine Engineers.
