The M/V Victoria ran aground on September 19 off the west of Varberg, Sweden, as it was transporting wheat, bunker fuel and diesel from Rostock, Germany to Guinea.

According to reports, the Liberian-flagged vessel suffered a three-meter long breach to its hull. Swedish Coast Guard officials report that the vessel is now stuck on a shoal. No leaks or oil spills have been reported.

The Victoria was built in 1997 and is a 27,792dwt bulk carrier owned by Venturi Fleet Management.

The Swedish Coast Guard is investigating the cause of the grounding and hope to release the vessel by the end of the week.
