Video Shows Fishing Boat Crew Being Murdered

A video that appears to show fishermen being murdered at sea off Fiji has been posted on YouTube.

The video's contents have not been verified, but Fijian Police are investigating after a complaint was made, reports New Zealand media.

The video appears to be filmed from the deck of one of several fishing boats. A tuna boat moves in towards the upturned wreck of a small boat. The video then shows three men in the water, clinging to wreckage. The men are shot multiple times as they try and swim away.

At the end of the video the man with the camera then films other crewmen.

A large tuna fleet operates out of Suva, Fiji. Conditions on board the boats are generally poor. Currently, there are no reports of missing fishermen in Fiji, but every other month a search is conducted for missing fishermen, many of whom are never found, says New Zealand’s Stuff news service.
