Recently-confirmed Maritime Administrator Paul ‘Chip” Jaenichen met with Maritime TV's Dave Gardy in Paducah, Ky., aboard the AEP River Operations towboat, the M/V Donna Rushing on July 17.

Maritime TV interviewed the Administrator in-depth on the strategic plans for America’s waterways after he rode (and navigated) the vessel along the Ohio River in Paducah, Ky. He emphasized the importance of the marine highways concept and how waterborne transportation is the most environmentally-friendly, the most efficient and the safest way to move cargo to support the American economy.

‘Ask the Administrator’ is a Maritime TV series of pre-recorded interviews with Maritime Administrator Paul “Chip” Jaenichen at various locations around the country. Subsequent interviews in the ‘Ask the Administrator’ Series are now being scheduled for the remainder of 2014 and will be announced shortly.
