Australia's CSIRO Awards Planned Maintenance Contract to Marine Software

U.K based Marine Software Ltd has been successfully awarded the Planned Maintenance Contract for the 94m Research Vessel "RV Investigator", by the Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organisation (CSIRO). CSIRO is Australia's national science agency and one of the largest and most diverse research agencies in the world.

CSIRO required a Classification Society type approved computerised Planned Maintenance system to comply with the ISM code, statutory and classification certification requirements, in addition to an integrated Spare Parts system.

Marine Software will supply the MPM - Marine Planned Maintenance "Gold" version, and have also been commissioned to construct a fully populated and scheduled Planned Maintenance database, ready for use upon installation. In addition, CSIRO will take delivery of the MSK - Marine Storekeeper product, to include an optional barcode scanning package.

Software installation with initial crew training will be conducted on site at the Sembawang Shipyard, Singapore.
