A Highly Successful Posidonia Reception for GMS

On Tuesday, 5th June 2018, GMS held its bi-annual Posidonia Reception at the historical Yacht Club of Greece, a renowned venue located on the Peninsula of Piraeus, famous for its breathtaking views and its long-lasting association with the shipping industry. This year, GMS adopted a distinctly Indian approach to its reception, by having live Indian music, Indian dancers, flavourful pallets of Indian Cuisine. Thus, making it a unique and unforgettable experience for all the attendees. More than 750 people from the shipping industry including many Ship Owners, Brokers, and Executives from all over the world, attended GMS’s Reception to salute the company’s growth and success, making it one of the most noted events during Posidonia 2018. The highlight of the night, was the presence of Her Excellency Shamma Jain, the Ambassador of India to Greece who graced the reception as a special guest of GMS. The ambassador, gave an inspiring speech to the audience, highlighting the tremendous investment opportunities surfacing in India which encouraged several attendees to seek ways to contribute and capitalize on India’s growing economy. During the course of the Reception, business partners, associates and friends of GMS also had the chance to meet with the senior and new members of the ever-growing GMS family, to discuss about on-going deals, share market intelligence and further strengthen their ties with the company and its members.
