The Bominflot Group is pleased to announce that Mark VandeVoorde has joined the Houston office of Bominflot Bunker Oil Corp with immediate effect. Mark was formerly a General Manager in Chevron’s Global Supply and Trading organization, having had responsibility for their fuel oil and feedstock businesses in the U.S.A., and prior to that in Europe. Effective January 1st, 2008, Robert Lake, the current President and C.E.O., will assume a new position in organizational development and global strategy for the Bominflot Group, reporting to the Senior Management in Hamburg. Robert will continue to be based in Houston. From the same date, Mark will assume the position of President and C.E.O. of Bominflot’s U.S. operating companies. Gene Owen will remain in his current position as Senior Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of Bominflot’s U.S.A. companies, and retains overall responsibility for U.S. operations and trading activities. Headquartered in Hamburg, The Bominflot Group is one of the world’s largest and most diversified suppliers of marine fuel, operating from 32 offices around the globe. In the U.S.A., Bominflot Bunker Oil Corp. is a leading physical supplier in most of the main U.S. Gulf Coast ports. On the U.S. East Coast, in a joint venture with ISOBunkers LLC, Bominflot is a key supplier of bunker fuels in the Philadelphia -- Baltimore -- Norfolk range. The company holds long-term supply contracts with the Defense Energy Supply Center, and also delivers into land-based industrial fuel requirements along the Eastern Seaboard.
