Strong demand continues for MacGREGOR lift-away hatch covers

MacGREGOR is continuing to enjoy a strong demand for its lift-away hatch covers and in July it received contracts for over €25 million worth of cargo access equipment that is destined for 39 container ships on order in South Korea In July, the MacGREGOR Group – part of Cargotec Corporation – received hatch cover orders worth over €25 million which will see the company making deliveries of its lift-away weatherdeck hatch covers to container carriers until 2011. The cargo access equipment contracts are for 39 ships on order at Hyundai Heavy Industries and Daewoo Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering in South Korea. The other four orders mentioned above are for the supply of design work and key components. All the lift-away weatherdeck hatch covers are all either reduced weathertight or non-weathertight, and can be opened and closed non-sequentially.
