Racor Beats Copy

Racor Beats Copy

Monday, July 9th, 2007

Modesto, California, July 9, 2007 - Racor Division of Parker Hannifin Corporation is pleased announce that laboratory testing has shown Aquabloc® II media offers significantly better performance and capacity for water and particulate removal than an off-shore marine gasoline filter copy.

The Racor 320R-RAC-01 and the copy were evaluated using SAE test procedures J905 and J1488. The flow rate for all tests was 30 gallons per hour fuel flow.

The results are shown here for comparison:

Initial pressure drop -- Racor had 1.68 PSID while the copy had 2.05 PSID restrictions.

Water emulsion removal -- Racor was 92% efficient and the copy was only 77% efficient.

Particle removal -- Racor was 98% efficient at 10 micron, the copy was 98% efficient at 40 micron.

Particle removal capacity -- Racor held 206 grams and the copy only held 130 grams.

The heart of Racor filter elements is the Aquabloc® II engineered filtration media. A proprietary design that has been the choice of OEMs and end users who are concerned about protecting engine fuel systems. The test results prove that genuine Racor elements are an engine’s best protection from harmful water and contaminates. Do not be fooled by look-a-likes, trust the original, not a copy.

Parker Racor filtration systems are available for any engine, any fuel, and at any flow rate.

Please ask for bulletin 7501 or visit the Racor web site for more details.
