Two powerhouses in marine optics have formed a strategic business alliance to better serve their customers. Night Vision Technologies, Inc. (NVTi) of Irving, Texas, and AmbientNAV of Lynnwood, Washington, will share technologies, marketing plans and sales efforts for their symbiotic products to enhance their positions in the industry.
AmbientNAV is a leading producer of high-quality LCD monitors, computers and peripheral equipment. NVTi is a technological leader in thermal imaging and night vision systems.
The companies will cross-promote, share rep networks and work closely on packaging their offerings of superior night vision systems and displays. NVTi and AmbientNAV will coordinate on engineering projects to develop improved, cohesive products for their growing customer base.
"By combining our respective expertise, we can offer better product solutions and meet our collective goals," said Terry Taylor, NVTi director of sales and marketing. "AmbientNAV's technologically superior displays will allow customers to better see the images our night vision systems produce. We have everything to gain from sharing information and resources, and our customers will benefit the most from this alliance."
Peter Meagher, AmbientNAV president, added, "NVTi's engineering and product development strategies closely align with our quality and technological standards. This alliance allows us both to enhance our philosophy of maximizing customer relationships. In the coming year, the industry will see better products, packaged offerings and extended service, especially in the key Florida marketplace."
AmbientNAV's newest product offering is the Alpha family of LCD monitors utilizing SeaEye technology. These daylight and sunlight viewable monitors deliver increased contrast, an extremely wide viewing angle and a simple user interface. SeaEye employs advanced engineering design principles and a unique mix of passive brightness enhancements and custom backlighting circuitry.
The jewel in NVTi's comprehensive line of multiple sensor imaging systems is the 5000/6000 series. These rugged yet stylish models combine color daylight, thermal and low lux cameras into a formidable vision system. They include options for IP control, gyro stabilization, radar integration and object tracking.
Both companies will be represented at the upcoming NMEA, Fort Lauderdale and WorkBoat shows.
