NAMEPA’s Seminar Series, Environmental Intelligence in Shipping

Please join your industry colleagues for the debut of NAMEPA’s Seminar Series, Environmental Intelligence in Shipping, being held on March 9th at the Marine Memorial Club in San Francisco, CA. The purpose of NAMEPA’s Seminar Series is to bring together stakeholders in the marines community to discuss concerns and actions that address marine environment protection. The goal of these discussions is to create greater awareness of the issues and the work that is being undertaken to mitigate potential problems, and to foster collaboration amongst the stakeholders.
The March Seminar will focus on three areas of concern to the marine community, both the commercial maritime industry and conservationists:
· Air Emissions: Challenges and Issues
· Wreck Waste Removal Programs
· Noise Emissions from Maritime Activities
The Seminar will begin at 0800 with coffee and registration, and conclude with a luncheon and keynote address by VADM Jody Breckenridge, USCG Commander for the Pacific Area. Cost to attend the event is $75. Seminar sponsors include: APL Ltd., Blank Rome LLP/LLC, Det Norske Veritas, and Sea Research Foundation.
