Mr. Willem H. den Ouden, founding father of the well-known Dutch manufacturers VETUS passed away

Last Friday, August 8th, 2008, Mr. Willem H. den Ouden, founding father of the well-known Dutch manufacturers of marine engines and technical boat equipment, VETUS of Schiedam, has passed away in his house in the South of France, after a short period of illness. He has reached the age of 73 and that is very young, with a view to the active life that he was still leading. After saying farewell to VETUS, he has been heading a few other companies, with his usual zest and enthusiasm. Willem den Ouden was a man of large stature and VETUS owes him for his vision and his boundless energy. We all hope to continue his pioneering work successfully, in his spirit and with his tremendous forward drive. VETUS N.V.
