• BOLLINGER AND BOUCHARD SIGN CONTRACTS FOR THREE OPA’90 TANK BARGES LOCKPORT, La., Bollinger Gretna, L.L.C., and Bollinger Marine Fabricators, L.L.C., two Bollinger Shipyards, Inc. facilities, have signed contracts for new construction of three OPA’90 compliant tank barges, consisting of one (1) 80,000, and two (2) 60,000 barrel (BBL) units for Bouchard Ocean Services, L.L.C., Melville, N.Y. The announcement was made by Bollinger Executive Vice President of New Construction, Chris Bollinger, as a Christmas and New Years present for the two Bollinger facilities. “Bollinger is ending the year on a positive note with the recent delivery of several vessels, and we are bringing in 2008 on a great note with the signing of these three units with Bouchard.” The 80,000 BBL tank barge, which will be built at Bollinger Gretna, L.L.C., in Harvey, Louisiana, is a manned ocean, clean oil barge measuring 399-feet long, with a 74-foot beam and a depth of 28-feet. Named the B. No. 284, it is a sister ship to Bollinger’s recently delivered B. No 282. The barge is built to meet the requirements of the Oil Pollution Act of 1990 (OPA’90), with twelve (12) cargo compartments and three (3) separate pumping systems. The two (2) 60,000 BBL tank barges, which will be built at Bollinger Marine Fabricators, L.L.C., in Amelia, Louisiana, are manned ocean, clean oil barges measuring 350-foot long, with a 70-foot beam and a depth of 25-feet. Named B. No. 262 and B. No. 264, they are near sisters to the B. No. 260, currently in production at Bollinger Gretna. The barges are being built to meet the requirements of the Oil Pollution Act of 1990 (OPA’90), with ten (10) cargo compartments and two (2) separate pumping systems. Morton S. Socha Bollinger Executive VP, Sales & Marketing Tel.: 985-532-2554 Fax: 985-532-7225 • BOLLINGER DELIVERS TWO 28,000 BARREL DOUBLE HULL OPA '90 TANK BARGES TO REINAUER TRANSPORTATION BOLLINGER AND REINAUER SIGN CONTRACT FOR ADDITIONAL SISTER SHIP LOCKPORT, La., Bollinger Marine Fabricators, L.L.C., (BMF) Amelia, La., a Bollinger Shipyards, Inc. company, has delivered the RTC 26 and RTC 27, double hull, oil tank barges built to meet the requirements of the Oil Pollution Act of 1990 (OPA’90), to Reinauer Transportation Companies, L.L.C., Staten Island, N.Y. Following the delivery of the RTC 26 and RTC 27, Bollinger announced the signing of a sister ship, Bollinger hull number 543, scheduled for delivery in the 4th quarter of 2008. Terms of the contracts were not disclosed. Bollinger executive vice president of new construction, Chris Bollinger said, “I am pleased to announce our delivery of the two OPA’90 tank barges, and the signing of a third unit to Reinauer. Our signing for the third unit with Reinauer is a great testament to our facilities workmanship and dedication in making these units the best in the industry.” The 28,000 BBL capacity RTC 26 and RTC 27 measure 297’6” in length, with a 54’0” beam and a 13’0” depth. The two barges each have the Beacon Finland Ltd. JAK 200 tug/barge coupler system, which is designed to increase operating efficiency and enhance safety and reliability by operating as a dual mode ITB. The series of barges are non self-propelled, double hulled with a raked shaped bow, with six cargo tanks. The barges are classed Lakes, Bays & Sound (Inland) Tank Barges, ABS +A1 Oil Tank Barge, and USCG certified. The barges are being constructed primarily for bunkering and harbor service in ports on the U.S. East Coast.
