EGERSUND, NORWAY, October 4, 2007: Jeppesen Marine proudly announces a new C-Map chart catalogue designed to ease ordering and managing electronic charts for the end user. The improvements, which stem from extensive study of end users’ experiences and which were made in co-operation with key stakeholders, reaffirm Jeppesen Marine’s commitment to being the leader in digital navigation for commercial maritime users. "As a major distributor of ENCs [electronic navigational charts], we have a great source of user feedback. First, Jeppesen Marine's new Dynamic Licensing concept is under implementation in most of the ECDIS systems delivered by our OEMs. Dynamic Licensing allows the navigator to obtain necessary charts, updates and licenses in seconds without a preordering process. Costs are controlled via pre-set budgets and spending limits -- in essence, this is "pay as you go".
