Tuesday, September 7, 2010
Germanischer Lloyd certified the new alarm, monitoring and control system developed by Imtech Marine Germany and Free Technics, two companies of Imtech Marine group. This new System will be presented at the Imtech Marine stand at SMM in Hamburg.
Imtech AMCS is designed to provide a complete AMCS system including installation and service from a single source. To achieve this, Imtech Marine Germany cooperated with Free Technics and evolved the established Free Technics NavVision® system to meet the highest requirements. The combination of Imtech Marine Germany's integration and customer knowledge with Free Technic's software expertise and products resulted in a modular, flexible and state-of-the-art AMCS.
High operational availability is reached by applying shockproof fanless solid-state PCs using Windows Embedded software and a redundant Ethernet topology. The intuitive Human Machine Interface combined with unambiguous alarm handling, offers every operator an unprecedented working environment. Graphic Duty Alarm Panels with integrated Engineering Calling / Personal Alarm functionality offer optimal convenience for the crew onboard.
Cost-effective configuration, commissioning and maintenance
User-friendly configuration tools allow for cost-effective configuration, commissioning and maintenance of the AMCS. A graphical editor is available to create user-defined Mimics. The I/O substations consist of WAGO Series 750 PLC and are extendable up to 1,000 I/O-ports per substation. Imtech AMCS is able to read out and control more than 10,000 measuring points.
The worldwide availability of type-approved Commercial Off The Shelf (COTS) components guarantees optimal Life Cycle Cost for the end-user. Spare parts can be replaced without the need for a field service engineer. Replaced components are configured automatically by the AMCS.
