GL certifies language methodology of Indra

The efficient and qualified learning of languages becomes more and more important in a globalised world. Indra, a leading Spanish Information Technologies and Defense Systems company, is the first enterprise in Spain certified by Germanischer Lloyd for its language methodology. At the celebrations of the International Language Day in Indra´s headquarters, Jose Manuel García Martín, Managing Director Germanischer Lloyd Certification in Spain, handed over the CERTIFOR certificate to Francisco Martín, Indra Human Resources Director. The approved certificate of Germanischer Lloyd requires annual audits by the certification body which include verifications of the programs, the methods and the capacity of the language education system as well as its installations and infrastructures. With the CERTIFOR standard Indra offers its employees a certified training process that improves the quality of their language skills. CERTIFOR refers to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) of the Council of Europe which provides a basis for the mutual recognition of language qualifications, thus facilitating educational and occupational mobility. The CEFR is a document that simplifies a definition of teaching and learning methods and offers tools for assessment of proficiency. It provides a practical tool for setting standards to be attained at successive stages of learning and for evaluating outcomes in an internationally comparable manner.
