Offshore Communications 2010, the premier annual event dedicated solely to communications in an offshore or remote inland environment, is returning to the Houston, TX area. The 10th annual Offshore Communications Conference and Exposition will be held November 3 - 4 at the Houston Marriott Westchase located in Houston, TX.
The Offshore Communications Conference and Exposition is the leading forum for communications professionals in the oil and gas community to learn best practices, discover new technology and collaborate with colleagues.
"Offshore Communications is the only show that provides the oil & gas community with conference content and exhibit show floor exclusively focused on communications solutions that meet the needs of the rugged offshore drilling environment," said Jenn Heinold, Show Director for Offshore Communications. "There is a definite need for our attendees to be able to gather information concerning communications and networks in an offshore environment as well as connect with other oil and gas professionals who may face the same challenges."
The Offshore Communications 2010 Conference will kick off Wednesday, November 3rd with an opening general session, Energy Sector Roundtable 1 – Communications Systems: What’s Here and What’s Next?. “The opening session at Offshore Communications sets the tone for the rest of the event,” said Heinold. “This is the session where attendees and panelists come together to discuss what solutions are being implemented now and what they hope to leverage in the future.”
The Offshore Communications Conference will examine communications challenges not just within the Gulf of Mexico, but on an international basis. Alongside the Conference, the Offshore Communications Exposition provides oil and gas professionals with information on existing and emerging technologies shaping the future of communications. The Exposition is open November 3 – 4 and includes more than 65 exhibiting companies showcasing a variety of communications applications, services and solutions.
The Exposition will also feature outdoor exhibits where exhibiting companies will showcase mobile command centers, large antennas, trailer and truck mounted satellite systems, and more.
Offshore Communications also provides valuable networking opportunities by bringing together communications professionals in the oil and gas community from all different organizations and responsibilities, including major oil and gas companies, drilling contractors, engineering contractors, service providers and more. Planned networking events include luncheons on Wednesday, November 3 and Thursday, November 4, the Ice Breaker Reception, and the iDirect Networking Reception.
Offshore Communications 2010 will be held November 2 - 4 at the Houston Marriott Westchase located at 2900 Briarpark Drive, Houston, Texas.
