EUROPORT ROMANIA EXPANDED WITH A VISIT TO DAEWOO SHIPYARD

President of Daewoo Mangalia Shipyard handles the official tour for the participants From 20 until 22 April 2010 Europort Romania takes place in Constanta for the 8th time. A compact networking event that brings international suppliers into contact with Romanian maritime professionals with decision making authority. Organizers Ahoy Rotterdam offer participants a total concept. Besides three exhibition days, an official visit to the Korean Shipyard Daewoo Mangalia (DMHI) is, among other things, on the agenda. By invitation of president Vasile Iorga the participants of Europort Romania will bring an official visit to the Daewoo Mangalia Shipyard (DMHI) on Monday the 19th of April. The yard builds ships up to 200,000 dwt, mostly bulk carriers for Tsakos Shipping Greece, container ships 5560 – 5905TUE for Hamburg Sud Germany and 40 – 60,000 dwt crude oil tankers and, because of this, is one of the leading yards in the country. After the visit to the yard the participants of Europort Romania will meet the management and the buyers from Daewoo during a barbecue that is part of the social program of the event. From 20 until 22 April 2010 the IDU Hall in Constanta is the meeting place for participants and the Romanian shipbuilding industry. It is the unique opportunity for exhibitors to put their service and knowledge on the Romanian map. Europort Romania offers space to a maximum of 40 participants and presents this edition, among others, a large selection in the field of propulsion. I.e. MaK, ABC, Wärtsila and Caterpillar will be present as exhibitors. Tuesday 20 April the Romanian Shipbuilding Union Anconav organizes her assembly of members in the IDU Hall. For participants in Europort Romania an excellent opportunity to meet the most important Romanian maritime players. About Europort Romania Europort Romania is organized by Ahoy Rotterdam in cooperation with ANCONAV, the Romanian Chamber of Commerce and the Embassy of the Netherlands in Bucharest.
