MARIS Integrates ADMIRALTY Vector Chart Service

Maritime Information Systems AS has announced that with the approval from United Kingdom Hydrographic Office (UKHO), the ADMIRALTY Vector Chart Service (AVCS) is now integrated into its Pay As You Sail (PAYS) services. The permission of use follows formal type approval for the MARIS PAYS solution earlier this year from DNV GL, the world’s largest class society by ships registered.

Norway-based MARIS, whose renowned Master Bridge Assistant (MBA) software has put the company at the forefront of innovation for several years, now offers the PAYS option via any ECDIS system, bringing the AVCS folio for PAYS to the navigator’s fingertips for voyage planning.

These important features of the service are particularly appreciated by our customers.” The MARIS PAYS service with AVCS will be delivered through MARIS MBA chart management software. “This is a combination that our customers have been awaiting eagerly,” says Holth.

In conjunction with this launch, MARIS has also taken the opportunity to develop a brand new user inerface, giving the ship-owner unrestricted access to the cost and location information concerning vessels in service from tablets or mobile phones.
