Broadpoint announced today Jerome DeCuir as its new Vice President of Engineering

HOUSTON (OCTOBER 8, 2008) – Broadpoint, a full-service telecommunications and network solutions company announced today Jerome DeCuir as its new vice president of engineering. In his role, DeCuir will leverage 20 years of engineering experience to help Broadpoint develop cutting edge communications technologies that will improve its customers’ productivity and profitability. “Jerome’s commitment to innovation makes him a perfect addition to the Broadpoint team,” said Bryan Olivier, COO of Broadpoint. “His expertise and technical knowledge will be instrumental as we look to expand our technology portfolio.” Prior to joining Broadpoint, DeCuir served as the director of network engineering for McLeodUSA (now a part of Paetec), where he successfully enhanced and reorganized the engineering department to improve its performance and contribution to the company. He also worked as the engineering director for both On Fiber Communications and Broadwing, leading communications companies in Austin, Texas. DeCuir began his career with The Williams Companies, where he held positions ranging from planning engineer to systems engineering director throughout his 10-year tenure. DeCuir received his bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette and has studied power and computing systems at the master’s level.
