• MacGREGOR signs offshore orders worth approximately euros 60 million During August and September, MacGREGOR’s new Offshore division won orders totalling approximately euros 60 million for equipment to be delivered during 2008-2010 Significant offshore equipment orders recently signed by the MacGREGOR Group’s Offshore division ?" part of the Cargotec Corporation ?" include the single biggest order in the history of the newly acquired Norwegian company Hydramarine AS. This is for six cranes for two 130m Vik Sandvik VS4220 offshore construction barges being built at Davie Yards in Canada for Norwegian independent subsea installation contractor Cecon. MacGREGOR’s order comprises: two knuckle-boom offshore cranes with Active Heave Compensation (AHC) systems; two knuckle-boom offshore/subsea cranes; and two deck cranes. The cranes will be manufactured by Hydramarine AS in Kristiansand, Norway, and delivery is planned for 2009. The value of this order is approximately euros 15 million. Another major order came from Nam Cheong Dockyard in East Malaysia, specifying four shipsets of MacGREGOR Plimsoll deck machinery for offshore accommodation work barges and four shipsets of deck machinery for offshore maintenance work vessels. The value of this order is approximately euros 8 million and the equipment will be manufactured in Asia by MacGREGOR Plimsoll and is planned to be delivered in 2008/2009. The new company is called MacGREGOR BLRT Baltic OÜ, and becomes operational on 1 October 2007. Since its start-up in 2000, MacGREGOR’s Tallinn office has been operating as the official registered representative office of MacGREGOR (FIN) Oy in Tallinn, Estonia, and from now on it will operate as a new MacGREGOR Service division branch office. MacGREGOR BLRT Baltic OÜ will strengthen the delivery of MacGREGOR products and services in the growing markets of the Baltic, especially in the BLRT Grupp shiprepair yards in Tallinn (Tallinn Shipyard) and Klaipeda (Western Shipyard). The joint venture ?" in which Cargotec holds a 51 per cent share ?" operates as one MacGREGOR branch in the Baltic countries of Estonia, Lithuania and Latvia. It will provide MacGREGOR equipment services and parts in the region, with service offices in Tallinn Shipyard and later also in Western Shipyard. The new joint venture starts in Tallinn with MacGREGOR’s current personnel and will later expand to Klaipeda with a local site office.
