The catamarans will be the latest in a series of fast multihull ferries from leading catamaran exponent Incat of Tasmania, Australia. LEADING salvage and towage company Multraship is working with Belgian dredging specialist Dredging International to dredge a channel to the new terminal being engineered at the strategic Bulgarian port of Bourgas in order to enable panamax-size vessels to operate there, without the need to lighter outside the port area. Multraship recently undertook two harbour towage projects, involving the positioning of two cranes, bringing to eight the total number of such projects carried out in Bourgas. Awilco Offshore has today taken delivery of its third Ultra Premium jackup drilling rig. The rig has successfully been delivered from PPL Shipyard in Singapore. WilSuperior is of the Baker Marine Class 375, capable of drilling in water depths of up to 375 feet and to drill high pressure and high temperature wells down to 30,000 feet drilling depth. International stevedore and terminal operating company Marine Terminals Corp. celebrated the maiden voyage arrival of Star Reefers’ new M/V Star Stratos into the Port of San Diego on July 12 with a commemorative plaque, presented to vessel Captain Antonio Arriesgado, Jr., by Port Commissioner Michael Bixler. Keppel Singmarine Pte Ltd (Keppel Singmarine), the wholly-owned subsidiary of Keppel Offshore & Marine Ltd (Keppel O&M), has secured four contracts worth a total of S$350 million (US$230 million) to build six offshore support vessels (OSV) and a derrick pipelay vessel.
