Offerings reflect industry demand and will be given at the MITAGS Campus.
• Engine Department
In response to requests, MITAGS has scheduled two, unlicensed engine department Coast Guard Exam Preparation Courses in 2010. An unlimited 3rd Assistant Prep Course can be schedule for six or more students. The courses are being offered at the MITAGS Campus.
• Deck Department
MITAGS is additionally offering GREAT LAKES MATE LICENSE PREP MODULES. The Great Lakes Mate License Prep offering consists of three independent courses run concurrently during the off season covering the training needed for a Great Lakes Mate License. These include (Module 1) Original RADAR Endorsement, (MODULE 2) BASIC AND ADVANCED FIRE FIGHTING (COMBINED) and (GREAT LAKES PREP) a complete review of both terrestrial and celestial navigation in preparation for the USCG license exam.
Additionally, a LICENSE ADVANCEMENT (LAP) course for both CHIEF MATE / MASTER, UNLIMITED TONNAGE, and ORIGINAL THIRD MATE are available
