The Fathom cruise ship Adonia returned to PortMiami on the weekend due to a power loss that reportedly affected elevators, bathrooms and air conditioners for approximately 30 minutes.

Adonia had departed for Cuba but returned to port late Sunday evening around 10 p.m.

The vessel has since been cleared to leave and the company issued a statement on the incident saying: “Fathom Adonia has departed Miami for its seven night Cuba itinerary following a delay due to a technical issue. Fathom will now arrive into Havana for the two day call at 07:30 on May 31 and will depart at 18:00 on June 1.”

Earlier this month, Adonia became the first U.S. cruise ship to make the voyage to Cuba in over 50 years.

Another Carnival ship, Carnival Elation, experienced a power outage while en route from the Bahamas to Florida early on Monday. The company said in a statement: “The ship’s technicians promptly restored power and the ship arrived at its homeport of Jacksonville at approximately 9:30 this morning, slightly behind schedule.”
